If a network distributor or government regulator varies or introduces a fee, charge or tax, we may pass through all or part of this varied or new fee, charge or tax to you. Generally network related services passed directly through however we may in some circumstances include our reasonable costs for arranging such services on your behalf.
For customers in hardship, experiencing payment difficulties, or affected by family violence, we will not charge any fees, except for charges from your distributor that we pass through to you. This includes card payment fees, payment processing fees, late payment fees and paper bill fees.
For other customers, we will not charge the following fees, unless those fees are charges from your distributor that we pass through to you:
- fees for meter reads when starting or ending a contract or other supply arrangement
- fees for disconnecting or reconnecting an energy supply
- fees for setting up an account when signing up to a new contract
- fees that exceed a reasonable estimate of the cost of providing the service that the fee relates to.
